HDRFS Data Analytics Research Internship

2026 Call for Faculty Project Proposals

The Education and Workforce Development team of HDRFS is now welcoming faculty project proposals to request funding for an undergraduate student as part of the HDRFS Data Analytics Research Internship program.  This program supports a research intern to advance faculty research using students’ newly-minted data analytics skills for the spring semester of 2027.

We welcome projects from any discipline that involve skills in data analytics – from data cleaning and organizing (spreadsheets and dashboards) to the use of SQL and Python. Students will be selected from a cohort of students who are currently completing SQL, Python, or spreadsheets/dashboards training. For a detailed document with more information on eligibility, project submission, and submission date, please see the attachment.
These internships are funded through Harnessing the Data Revolution for Fire Science (HDRFS), an NSF EPSCoR-funded project to increase Nevada’s capacity for wildland fire research, education, and workforce development.
